Two Bells (2313 4th Ave, Seattle WA) This has long been on both the I Love Food Comas list and my own personal list. I first became aware of this place when my old coworker, Darcy, wanted to go there for lunch, but they weren’t open. Anyway, Two Bells is located in Belltown and upon walking in through the doors, it has a really great atmosphere. It’s not pretentious in anyway. Now when I think of “chill,” I will think of Two Bells. Now, you have to be 21 to eat here since it’s largely a bar, but if you are, then you’ll get to try their awesome food. Michelle is convinced that it’s the best burger in Seattle and I audiably rated it a 9 out of 10, but I feel like I’m still on the search. Their burger did prompt me to decide that perhaps simply “the best burger in Seattle” isn’t enough. Two Bells made me realize that subcatagories need to be in place. That being said, Two Bells definitely had the best gourmet burger for sure. Served on a roll, I ordered their Mushroom Burger with a Garden Burger patty. Two Bells makes everything in-house and their Garden Burger is no exception. It’s a patty that was made from potatoes, carrots and other vegetables and didn’t taste too different from a potato pancake. It was also served with a lemon tahini sauce that was excellent. I was a little hesistant to enjoy Two Bells because they don’t serve fries, but it’s okay because the potato salad I had was freakin’ great. Michelle was very adamant that her cole slaw was good as well. It could be that the search for the best burger could be over, but there’s more places to check out.
